Edo Crisis: Governor’s Committee Discovers 200 Missing Vehicles, Major Recovery Operation Launched

In a bold move to recover stolen government property, the Chairman of the committee set up by Governor Monday Okpebholo, Mr. Kelly Okungbowa, announced on Friday that over 200 vehicles have been reported missing from the state’s fleet. According to Okungbowa, the recovered vehicles—a Hilux van and two Toyota Hiace buses—were found at a private residence in Benin. The committee also discovered palliatives intended for distribution to Edo residents, including bags of garri and rice, in one of the buses. Okungbowa urged the public to come forward with information, offering rewards for credible tips, and emphasized that the stolen vehicles belong to the people of Edo, not private individuals.
