Exclusive: Katsina Police Expose Shocking Rape Syndicate, 49 Suspects In Custody

The Katsina State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of 49 individuals suspected of rape during February 2025.

According to Ireporter, these arrests were part of a broader law enforcement effort that resulted in the apprehension of 144 suspects involved in various criminal activities, including armed robbery, culpable homicide, and kidnapping.

In addition, the police successfully rescued 105 kidnapped victims and neutralized four armed bandits.

Other notable achievements of the Command in February included the recovery of:

• Four locally-made firearms
• 13 pump-action cartridges
• Five motorcycles
• 13 stolen livestock

DSP Aliyu commended the dedication of police officers and reassured the public of the Command’s resolve to ensure justice for victims of sexual violence.

He urged residents to report such incidents promptly, emphasizing that perpetrators would face the full force of the law.

The Police Command also extended gratitude to the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, the Katsina State Government, led by Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, and the media for their continued support in combating crime.

Reaffirming its commitment to a crime-free society, the Command pledged to work closely with community members and stakeholders to eliminate sexual violence and other criminal activities in Katsina State.
