From Dubai To The Dock: Killaboi Brought Back To Nigeria Over Lover’s Shocking Death!

The Nigeria Police Force has successfully completed the extradition of Benjamin Best Nnayereugo, widely known as “Killaboi,” from Doha, Qatar to Nigeria.

This development was confirmed in a statement issued on Saturday by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Muyiwa Adejobi. The fugitive, wanted in connection with the murder of Miss Augusta Oseodion Onuwabhagbe, was brought back to Nigeria in the early hours of Saturday, April 19, 2025. His return was the result of coordinated efforts involving the Ministry of Justice, INTERPOL’s National Central Bureau (NCB), Force Headquarters in Abuja, and the Qatari Judicial Authorities.

The extradition process was initiated following a petition filed by the deceased’s family through their legal representatives on September 29, 2024. INTERPOL NCB Abuja took up the case, launching an investigation that uncovered chilling details of the crime.

Findings revealed that Nnayereugo murdered 21-year-old Miss Onuwabhagbe, a first-class student of Lead City University, Ibadan, at his residence located at No. 24A Abiola Apooyi Street, Oral Estate, Ajah, Lagos, on July 13, 2023. After the heinous act, he fled the country and later released a misleading online video claiming responsibility, seemingly to obstruct ongoing investigations.

He was declared wanted by the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) on October 13, 2023, prompting the issuance of an INTERPOL Red Notice to facilitate his global apprehension.

Nnayereugo was first apprehended in Freetown, Sierra Leone, on October 20, 2023, while using a false identity, “Kanu Princeton Samuel.” However, he escaped custody during a prison break in Freetown on November 26, 2023.

Subsequent intelligence revealed that the suspect had moved through various regions—including West Africa, East Asia, and the Middle East—using multiple forged identities. He eventually arrived in Doha, Qatar, on January 24, 2025, under the alias “Toure Abdoulaye” with a fake Guinean passport, securing unlawful employment and concealing his true identity.

Through robust international collaboration and advanced biometric verification, INTERPOL NCB Abuja, in partnership with INTERPOL NCB Doha, confirmed his identity. This led to his arrest by Qatari authorities in February 2025.

Following this, the Federal Ministry of Justice submitted a formal extradition request, which was granted by the Qatari judicial system, paving the way for his return to Nigeria to face justice.
