Governor Lawal: Unauthorized-Negotiations With Bandits Happening Without My Knowledge (View Text)

Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has stated that some people are negotiating with bandits without his knowledge in the state.

Lawal made this known on Tuesday while fielding questions on Channels TV Sunrise Daily programme.

The governor stated that he had met with President Bola Tinubu to explain the security situation in the state.

He said, “Somebody somewhere, somehow behind our back is negotiating with the bandits. As a governor of the state without my knowledge.

“To some extent we know those negotiating with the bandits.

“I had to meet Mr President and complain one on one, and explain the true situation of what we’re facing in terms of the security situation.

“How many times are you going to keep negotiating, on what basis?”
