Expressing concern over the incident, Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasized the need for proactive action to prevent similar tragedies in the future. He noted that many residential apartments have been repurposed as warehouses, posing significant risks.

The Governor highlighted the necessity of enforcing building regulations and ensuring compliance with safety standards. He warned that any structure found to be in violation of construction guidelines will be demolished without hesitation.
