Governor Yusuf Launches APC E-Registration Drive In Kano

According to Ireporter Online, Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has inaugurated the All Progressives Congress (APC) e-registration exercise in the state, calling it a significant step toward strengthening internal democracy and expanding the party’s membership base.

The inauguration follows the governor’s return to the APC on Monday, a move confirmed in a statement by his spokesperson, Sanusi Dawakin-Tofa, in Kano on Tuesday.

Speaking at the event, Governor Yusuf emphasized that the e-registration initiative is aimed at modernizing the party’s administrative processes and ensuring the credibility of its membership records. He described the exercise as transparent, inclusive, and technology-driven, highlighting its potential to create a reliable and verifiable database of members across the state.

He encouraged party members and supporters to actively participate in the exercise, noting that it would enhance trust and accountability within the APC. The governor also commended the party leadership for adopting digital tools in managing its affairs, describing the move as timely and in line with global best practices in political organization.

According to the statement, the e-registration will be conducted across all wards in Kano State, providing a seamless platform for both new and existing members to register or update their personal information. The initiative is expected to significantly boost participation and strengthen the party’s grassroots structure ahead of future political activities.
