Hon Dennis Idahosa Urges Cross Riverians To Stand Behind APC NWC’s Election Of Dr Mary Alile Idele As National Woman Leader
Hon Dennis Idahosa, the lawmaker representing Ovia federal constituency in the National Assembly, has urged the good people and members of the APC in Cross Rivers state to accept the party’s recent decision to elect Dr Mary Alile Idele as the party’s National Woman Leader.
Dennis Idahosa, in a statement made accessible to the press, pleaded with APC members to look at the wider picture and support Dr Idele. He also talked on the unique political PECULIARITY that saw the political permutation that favoured the zoning to Edo State.
In order to have a better understanding, Hon Dennis stated that in the recent appointment of ministerial nominations, each state is entitled to one minister, and each geographical region is entitled to one more nominee, who would come from inside one of the states.
Since the ministerial seat was granted to Cross Rivers, making the state have two ministers from the South-South, the legislator said it was fair and justifiable that the National Woman leader be allotted to another South-South state, with Edo benefiting.
As a result, he pleaded with them to work together with the president and Edo State to meet the expectations of Nigerians to whom they have been entrusted.
Dennis urged the party’s good leaders and members in Cross Rivers to forego any planned protests against the selection of Edo and Dr Mary Alile Idele and instead focus their efforts on building the party and assisting His Excellency in delivering the much-needed dividends of democracy to Nigerians.
He commended them for their continued support for the APC and reiterated that this was an impassioned appeal for them to reconsider and work with Dr Idele to further make the party, APC, meet Nigerians’ expectations.
In conclusion, Hon. Dennis Idahosa affirmed, “This passionate appeal is a call for our esteemed party leaders and members in Cross Rivers to reconsider their stance. Let us join hands with Dr. Mary Alile Idele and collaborate with unwavering determination.
By doing so, we can propel the APC towards fulfilling the expectations of our fellow Nigerians. Together, let us foster party unity, focus on progress, and contribute to the realization of the democratic dividends that our nation rightfully deserves.”
