According to Ireporter Online, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has officially launched the 540-metre Alhaji Jimoh Drive/Baptist Church Street project in Ijagemo, Ijegun, within the Iba Local Council Development Area (LCDA).

The initiative, executed through the Office of Rural Development, is part of the administration’s ongoing efforts to boost infrastructure, enhance connectivity, and improve the overall quality of life in rural communities.

Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Agbaje, disclosed that the road project is expected to be completed within six months. He explained that the new infrastructure would feature solar-powered streetlights to enhance visibility, road safety, and nighttime accessibility for residents.

Dr. Agbaje appealed to members of the Ijagemo community to collaborate with the contractors to ensure the smooth and timely completion of the project. He emphasized that the initiative aligns with Governor Sanwo-Olu’s T.H.E.M.E.S Plus Agenda, which seeks to transform rural settlements into semi-urban environments.
