How Did They Even Become Number One Bank In Nigeria? – Customers Roasts Zenith Bank, Move To Close Accounts Over Poor Service

A cross-section of Nigerians has expressed their displeasure with the network service of Nigeria’s leading bank, Zenith bank plc.

Zenith Bank Plc was ranked as the Number One Bank in Nigeria by Tier-1 Capital in the 2022 Top 1000 World Banks Ranking published by The Banker Magazine.

The bank came under fire today, Monday 19th September over the poor service customers had to deal with many left frustrated.

Mr Abdul, a zenith customer, lamented what he lost today due to his inability to process a transfer to a client with the mobile banking app of Zenith.

In his words: i lost a deal worth 3 million Naira today, have been trying to do a transfer to a client for hours and it never went through. I’m so disappointed with my bank.

Another customer, Mr Kunle Ayodele also lamented how pissed he was and that his kids couldn’t make it into the school to learn today because he was unable to pay their fees.

in his words: 4 of my kids came back home after i sent them to school because the school didn’t receive the payment i made into their account. This is bad and shouldn’t be happening to the best bank in Nigeria.

Another customer who expressed her anger for being frustrated with Zenith was Madam Comfort Abang, she frowned at the poor service that Zenith had today and she couldn’t pay for some goods that she saw and liked.

In her words: I lost some fine goods today not because am broke but because my bank failed me, i was so ashamed, they were looking at me at the place like one who is fake.

Others who spoke were of the view that such poor service is a slap on the ranking of Zenith and also vowed to visit other banks to open accounts and close their accounts with Zenith adding that this issue of poor service is common with them.
