Nollywood actress Bimbo Thomas has spoken candidly about her long and painful struggle with a medical condition that caused prolonged and excessive menstrual bleeding, eventually leading to a life-threatening fibroid diagnosis.

According to Ireporter Online, the actress made the disclosure during a conversation with media personality Chude, where she recounted that her ordeal began in her teenage years. She explained that her menstrual periods were unusually heavy and often lasted between nine and 14 days, a situation that consistently left her drained and physically weak.

She said the excessive bleeding frequently caused her to lose consciousness, turning each monthly cycle into a distressing experience for both herself and those around her.

She explained that episodes of zoning out or collapsing became so common that people close to her had grown accustomed to managing the situation whenever her period began. Despite the recurring danger, she continued to cope until early 2021, when she decided to seek professional medical attention.
