I’m Thriving, Nigeria’s Challenges Don’t Matter – Aremu Afolayan Stands With Tinubu
Nollywood actor Aremu Afolayan has publicly declared his support for President Bola Tinubu as the country approaches the 2027 general election. According to Ireporter Online, Afolayan voiced his endorsement during a recent campaign event, highlighting the administration’s efforts and downplaying widespread concerns about the nation’s economic challenges.
The actor stated that his personal experience does not reflect the hardships often discussed across the country, emphasizing that he is thriving despite broader economic concerns. He praised Tinubu’s diplomatic engagement with the United Arab Emirates, which resulted in the lifting of travel restrictions on Nigerians.
Afolayan also commended the president’s leadership approach, describing it as a unifying effort during a period of national difficulties. While acknowledging the country still faces significant challenges, he encouraged citizens to focus on the administration’s ongoing initiatives rather than constant criticism.
On security issues, Afolayan dismissed negative reports about insurgency, warning against taking all media coverage at face value. He remarked, “When people say the country is hard, I don’t really care because I’m doing very well. When the UAE banned Nigerians, it was President Tinubu who intervened and helped lift the ban. Nigeria has many problems, but most Nigerians focus more on criticism than on the efforts being made. The good work President Tinubu is doing is why I support him. He is trying to unite Nigerians. And when you watch the news about insurgency, don’t mind them—it’s all scripted.”
