JAMB Nears Completion of Post-Exam Procedures for 2025 UTME Results
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the results of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will be released once all necessary post-examination reviews and processes are concluded.
The update was shared via a brief statement on JAMB’s official (formerly Twitter) account on Tuesday, urging candidates to exercise patience.
The statement read: “2025 UTME results will be released upon completion of all post-examination analyses and related procedures. Candidates are advised to remain patient.”
In a related development, the Federal Government has directed the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and the National Examinations Council (NECO) to fully transition to Computer-Based Testing (CBT) by 2026.
This directive was announced by the Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, during an inspection tour in Bwari, alongside JAMB officials, on Monday.
Dr. Alausa revealed that WAEC and NECO will begin administering their objective sections via CBT starting November 2025, with full CBT integration—including essay sections—set for May or June 2026.
He emphasized, “If JAMB can conduct CBT exams for over 2.2 million candidates, then WAEC and NECO can also rise to the challenge.”
