Get Me DPO Bako Killer – 2Baba In More Trouble As New Rivers CP Disu Gives Strong Order To Policemen
The newly appointed Commissioner of Police in Rivers State, Tunji Disu, has issued a directive to the police force in the state to apprehend the notorious cult leader widely known as 2Baba.
2Baba is wanted for orchestrating the brutal murder of SP. Bako Angbasim, a valiant Divisional Police Officer (DPO), in Odumude community, leading to his declaration as a wanted individual.
Upon assuming his new role on Wednesday, November 15, Disu reportedly visited the cult-affected Ahoada-East and instructed the officers of the command to capture 2Baba and other cultists who are causing terror in the area.
He was quoted to have said: “I know how difficult it is for you people to enter those difficult areas. I want you to know that we are going to support you with all required logistics. I want you to know how important we take your job. My first assignment was to come and see you, to tell you how important you are.”

Disu emphasized that the most meaningful gift his team could offer him was the apprehension of the perpetrators, asserting that no one who kills a police officer would escape justice.
Accompanied by his team, the police commissioner reportedly visited the Odieremenyi community, where five residents were killed on Sunday by cultists loyal to 2Baba.
During a conversation with the Chairman of Ahoada East Local Government Area, Ben Eke, Disu pledged that the command, under his leadership, would take all necessary measures to establish lasting peace in the council.
Eke, in response, expressed that Disu’s visit to Ahoada East LGA upon assuming duty demonstrated his commitment to the welfare of the state.
Eke said: “I must tell you the truth. The police are trying. Several arrests have been made. What happened days ago is just a display of frustration and they want to blackmail the government.
“I must commend the police and the police too should not be deterred at all. As a government, we are ready to provide the necessary support to ensure that those hoodlums are arrested and that the proper thing is done.
“We will give you every support to ensure you succeed as Commissioner of Police in Rivers State. For the Area Command Division and other security agencies in the area, we will give them the necessary support so that at the end of the day we will get the culprits.
“Knowing again that the Yuletide is just around the corner if the culprits are not arrested and brought to book our people will not come home. People are leaving the area.”
