A statement from PCNGI emphasized that the Ilorin site, developed and managed by Rolling Energy, will play a crucial role in supporting the transition to cleaner energy by offering both conversion and refuelling services for vehicles.

The initial phase of the programme will begin in Lagos, Kwara, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and Rivers. To ensure the success of this programme, the rollout will commence in eight of over 120 planned conversion sites. Key union partners will observe and evaluate the process, providing feedback as PCNGI plans to scale up operations to 15 states.

“It is pertinent to note that this rollout will be backed by a 50 percent discount on equipment and kit costs, and support will be provided to qualified union members for installation costs,” the statement added.

The initiative reflects a commitment to reducing emissions and promoting environmental sustainability, positioning Nigeria as a leader in the transition to cleaner energy in the transportation sector.
