In an official statement titled “Appeal to the Public to Refrain from Placing Congratulatory Billboards Honoring the FCT Minister,” issued by his Director of Press, Anthony Ogunleye, it was emphasized that “while the Minister deeply appreciates the warm wishes and support of the citizens, he kindly, but strongly requests that such billboards and advertisements be discontinued forthwith.”
The statement acknowledged the overwhelming goodwill pouring in from FCT residents and beyond, highlighting that the Minister is genuinely touched by this supportive gesture. However, considering his dedication to public service and commitment to his duties, the Minister is determined to direct his complete attention towards assisting the President of Nigeria, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, in fulfilling his vision and the “Renewed Hope” agenda for the nation.
