Kebbi State House Speaker Passes Away
The Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Hon. Muhammad Usman Ankwai, has passed away. According to reports, he died in Egypt last night.
Ankwai, who represented Zuru Constituency under the All Progressives Congress (APC), was elected Speaker at the inauguration of the 10th Assembly on June 8, 2023. Details regarding the circumstances of his death have not been disclosed.
His passing has elicited widespread condolences from colleagues, political associates, and residents across Kebbi State. Many have lauded him as a committed public servant who made significant contributions to the state’s legislative development.
The family is expected to announce burial arrangements in due course.
