Femi Babafemi, the Director of Media and Advocacy for the agency, shared details of the arrest via his X (formerly Twitter) account, posting a video showing the confiscated drugs. The businessman, whose identity remains undisclosed, swallowed a significant amount of cocaine in a bid to evade detection.

Babafemi warned: “Detty December: Before you attempt to swallow drugs, remember that the new @ndlea_nigeria has the capacity to catch you.” He added that the businessman’s actions not only jeopardize his immediate future—spending Christmas in custody—but also put him at risk of a life sentence after his trial.
