Nigerians React As Final Group Leaves For Makkah After Sad News Of Lagos Pilgrim’s Death
The Board Secretary, Mr. Saheed Onipede, expressed condolences to Idris’ family and prayed for his forgiveness and reward for Hajj. He also advised other pilgrims to avoid overexertion before the main Hajj rites. Mr. Idris was buried in Makkah according to Saudi Arabian protocols, and a janaza prayer was observed by state officials and pilgrims.
Meanwhile, the last batch of Lagos pilgrims is set to leave Madinah for Makkah, having completed their mandatory four-day stay filled with various religious activities, including prayers at Masjid Nabawih and visits to significant Islamic sites.
