During the event at the Secretariat of Imo State Christian Association Nigeria (CAN) in Owerri, Governor Uzodimma admonished Church leaders to uphold President Tinubu’s government in their prayers. He expressed gratitude for overcoming the challenges of 2023 and anticipated a better 2024 for all.

Governor Uzodimma highlighted President Tinubu’s economic reforms introduced in May 2023 to recover the economy, reduce hardship, strengthen the Naira, create jobs, and uplift Nigeria. He acknowledged the initial challenges but emphasized that the policies were meant to address the pains.

The governor stressed the significance of providing relief, especially during the Christmas season, and mentioned that the rice donation was a personal gift from President Tinubu to Christians in the Southeast. He involved Imo State CAN for seamless distribution, with the state government supporting logistics for transportation to Abia, Anambra, Enugu, Ebonyi, and Imo.

Governor Uzodimma urged the Christian communities in the South East to pray for President Tinubu’s administration, citing the ambitious 2024 budget as a foundation for a prosperous country. Reverend Dr. Eches Divine Eches, the CAN chairman of Imo State, commended Governor Uzodimma’s efforts in caring for the people and praised President Tinubu for the generous gift to the Christian communities in the region.
