Chairman of OSSIEC, Hassim Abioye, made this revelation during a press briefing at the commission’s headquarters in Osogbo, the capital city.

Abioye emphasized that OSSIEC would soon release the comprehensive timetable for the elections, covering the 30 Local Government Council Areas, 32 Local Council Development Authorities, and six Area Council Development Authorities across Osun State.

Speaking with confidence, Abioye reiterated the commitment of OSSIEC to uphold the tenets of the Nigerian Constitution, the Electoral Act of 2022, and the 2022 OSSIEC Law of Osun State in facilitating a transparent and credible electoral process.

He stated, “This Commission is fully prepared to conduct elections into the local government councils across Osun State, and we are determined to ensure that the entire process adheres strictly to legal frameworks and best practices.”

Abioye further underscored the importance of media collaboration, highlighting the pivotal role of the press in promoting transparency and public awareness throughout the electoral journey.
