Otuaro Praises Tinubu, Declares His Administration “Excellent
According to Ireporter Online, the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu while commending what he described as the “excellent performance” of his administration.
Otuaro said the past three years under President Tinubu have been marked by significant achievements, noting that the President has shown courage and strong leadership anchored on his Renewed Hope Agenda, which he said was designed to address Nigeria’s developmental challenges. He added that through deliberate governance and clear focus on national priorities, the administration has steered the country toward economic recovery, improved socio-political stability, and broader prosperity.
He further stated that ongoing economic reforms and policy interventions have helped stabilize the economy, while adjustments in the security architecture have strengthened efforts to protect lives and support economic activities. Otuaro also highlighted the administration’s diplomatic engagements, saying improved bilateral relations and international partnerships have contributed to increased foreign direct investment and expanded economic opportunities.
According to him, President Tinubu’s efforts have restored international confidence in Nigeria and improved the country’s standing globally. He also pointed to enhanced collaboration between security agencies and private security operators in the Niger Delta, which he said has helped reduce oil theft and pipeline vandalism, leading to improved environmental conditions and an increase in oil production from about 1.4 million barrels per day in 2023 to around 1.8 million barrels per day.
Otuaro further praised the administration’s interventions in the Niger Delta, stating that peace, security, and stability have improved significantly. He credited Tinubu’s support for reforms within the Presidential Amnesty Programme, including budgetary improvements that expanded scholarship schemes, vocational training, inclusivity initiatives, and stakeholder engagement processes aimed at sustaining peace and development in the region.
He also referenced key infrastructure and development projects such as the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway, the establishment of the South-South Development Commission, and federal institutions in the Niger Delta as evidence of the administration’s commitment to regional and national development.
Otuaro added that President Tinubu’s emergence as the APC presidential candidate for the next election cycle reflects strong confidence in his leadership, expressing optimism that Nigerians may renew his mandate in 2027 to consolidate ongoing reforms and complete his development agenda. He urged continued support from the Niger Delta region, saying it would help sustain the administration’s progress.
