Oyebanji Lights Up Ekiti Political Scene With Second Term Declaration
Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has officially declared his intention to seek re-election for a second term under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), according to IReporter Online.
The declaration was made during a strategic meeting with members of the APC State Working Committee at the party’s secretariat in Ado-Ekiti on Monday, according to IReporter Online.
During the gathering, Governor Oyebanji expressed his gratitude to the party leadership for their unwavering support and confidence in his administration.
As the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed June 20, 2026, for the Ekiti governorship election, Oyebanji emphasized the importance of consolidating the progress his government has achieved over the past years.
He reiterated that he has fulfilled all his campaign promises to the people of Ekiti and is committed to sustaining the momentum of development.
Furthermore, the governor assured party stakeholders that his administration would continue to honour and recognize party leaders as vital pillars of the APC’s foundation and success — a promise he stressed would remain a cornerstone of his leadership, according to IReporter Online.
