Oyo SUBEB Releases Results For Teachers Recruitment CBT

The Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (Oyo SUBEB) has announced the outcome of its Computer-based (CBT) assessments for the hiring of teachers in primary schools within the state.

Ireporteronline reports that this information was disclosed in a statement by the Executive Chairman of the Board, Nureni Adeniran, and made available to the press on Wednesday in Ibadan.

Adeniran highlighted that the Board has established a 50% cut-off point for advancement to the subsequent phase of the recruitment process.

This benchmark will determine the course of the recruitment procedure.

He also urged all candidates to check their results on the Oyo SUBEB recruitment portal.

Adeniran reaffirmed the Board’s dedication to improving educational facilities and services in the state.

Reports revealed that 52,423 individuals applied for 7,000 primary school teaching positions in the recent teacher recruitment in Oyo state.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Police Force has officially accepted the list of successful applicants for the 2022 constable recruitment exercise, which was released by the Police Service Commission (PSC).

The agreement comes after a prolonged dispute between the two organizations.

The PSC released a list of 10,000 successful applicants for constable and specialist cadre roles on June 4.

However, the police initially rejected the list, citing allegations of corruption and irregularities in the recruitment process.

In response to the police’s rejection, the PSC stood firm on not cancelling the list.

This impasse led to the intervention of the Minister of Police Affairs, Ibrahim Gaidam, and other key stakeholders. After extensive deliberations, an agreement was reached.

Force Spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi, released a statement on Tuesday confirming the resolution.

He stated, “Following thorough discussions and deliberations with the PSC, we have reached a mutual agreement on the list of successful applicants.”

Adejobi further noted that the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, expressed confidence in the newly recruited constables, stating that their addition to the force would enhance the country’s security efforts.

Adejobi said, “The Nigeria Police Force and the Police Service Commission have finally reached an agreement regarding the final merit list for the recruitment of Police Constables into the Nigeria Police Force. Following extensive deliberations and collaboration, both the NPF and PSC have worked diligently to ensure that the recruitment process remains transparent, fair, and merit-based.

“The Inspector General of Police expressed satisfaction with the outcome, stating that the agreement on the final merit list is a testament to the commitment of both the Nigeria Police Force and the Police Service Commission to work together in the best interest of the country.

“He also expressed confidence that the recruits will contribute significantly to the mission of the Federal Government of Nigeria to create employment opportunities for the Nigerian youths, boost internal security mechanisms, and maintain law and order.”

Adejobi said following the directive of the IGP, the newly recruited constables would be trained on modern policing ethics and principles.
