Peter Okoye Confirms: No Psquare Reunion Ever
According to reports, Nigerian singer Peter Okoye has officially ruled out any possibility of a Psquare reunion. The artiste clarified on social media that the chapter of the music duo is closed and there are no plans to bring it back.
The statement was made in response to fans enquiring about a potential reunion of the iconic twins. Peter firmly stated that he has no interest in reviving the group, emphasizing the importance of respecting personal decisions.
One fan asked, “Can we just have Psquare back?” Peter responded bluntly, “Not with me! Done and dusted.” He also addressed remarks suggesting the split was due to a decline in their music, urging followers to accept that change is a natural part of life. “Not your flop! Learn to respect people’s decisions! Nothing lasts forever! Change is constant,” he wrote.
Psquare, composed of Peter and Paul Okoye, was once one of Africa’s most successful music acts before their high-profile separation. Their split involved various disputes, including family disagreements and management of shared funds.
Since the separation, both artistes have pursued solo careers. Peter now performs under the stage name Mr P, while Paul has adopted the name Rudeboy, each carving an independent path in the music industry.
