Police Foil Kidnapping Attempt, Rescue 5 Victims Travelling From Abuja To Zamfara In Katsina
In a swift operation, operatives of the Katsina State Police Command successfully rescued five kidnapped victims who were travelling from Abuja to Zamfara State on March 9th, 2024……READ ALSO Police Confirm Car Thieves In Coma After Mob Attack In Rivers State
According to a statement by the Police Commissioner, CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa, the victims were discovered held captive in chains within the forests of Katsina before their timely rescue. They had been abducted near Kushere village in Zamfara.
The breakthrough came during a routine patrol around Masiga village in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State on Monday, March 25, 2024.
Identified as Bashir Malqm Sani (25), Kamaladdeen Sani (23), Musa Muhammad (22), Sagir Umar (20), and Muntari Sama’ila (20), all the victims hail from Magamin Mai Tarko village in Zamfara State.
Currently, the rescued victims are under medical care, and authorities expect to reunite them with their families soon.
The successful operation underscores the commitment of the Katsina State Police Command to combatting criminal activities and ensuring the safety of residents and travellers within the state.
