The service, held at the Church of the Holy Spirit Anglican Church, was in honor of Martin Amaewhule, the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly. The event saw several prominent political figures in attendance, including APC South-South National Vice Chairman Victor Giadom and Rivers PDP Chairman Aron Chukwuemeka.

Wike took the opportunity to address the political tensions in Rivers, accusing Odili of siding with Fubara, despite Wike’s past support for him. The minister questioned Odili’s bias, asking why he continued to take a partisan stance after his tenure as governor, especially when he had received so much from Wike.

This statement comes just one day after Odili praised Governor Fubara for his developmental achievements.
