Politician Killed, Family Abducted By Bandits During Ramadan Prayers In Katsina

In a tragic incident, a politician known as Alhaji Lado was gunned down by bandits in Mairuwa village, located in the Faskari local government area of Katsina State. Details surrounding the incident remain scarce, but it’s been reported that Alhaji Lado was killed after he resisted the orders of the attackers. Additionally, the bandits abducted his wife and two daughters during the assault.

An eyewitness revealed that among the victims was a health worker named Sani, who was employed at the Mairuwa Health Facility.

Katsina State has been severely affected by banditry, with numerous attempts to curb the activities of these criminals yielding limited success.

As of now, the Katsina State Police Command has yet to issue a statement regarding this tragic development, leaving the community and residents in shock and grief over the loss of life and the abduction of family members during the sacred period of Ramadan prayers.
