This year’s summit is themed ‘Educate an African fit for the 21st Century: Building resilient education systems for increased access to inclusive, lifelong, quality, and relevant learning in Africa.’ President Tinubu, alongside other African leaders, will engage in high-level discussions covering institutional reforms of the African Union, peace and security initiatives, climate change, and the continent’s priorities in the G20.
In addition to his participation in the AU summit, President Tinubu will also partake in an extraordinary summit of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of ECOWAS in his capacity as the Chairman of the regional body. This dual engagement highlights Nigeria’s leadership role not only within the AU but also within the West African sub-region.
