Prominent Islamic Scholar Confirmed Dead (PHOTO)

Renowned Islamic scholar Sheikh Abubakar Abdullahi Giro has passed away.

Hailing from Argungu, Kebbi State, he succumbed to a brief illness on Wednesday.

Reports indicate that Sheikh Giro fell ill shortly after delivering a sermon at a mosque in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday.

In an announcement on its verified Facebook page, Jama’atu Izalatul Bid’ah Wa Iqamatus Sunnah, JIBWIS, stated that the esteemed scholar would be laid to rest on Thursday.

Reacting to the news of his passing, the former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, expressed his sorrow.

He described the loss as both shocking and painful. Pantami conveyed condolences to Sheikh Giro’s immediate family, students, and Islamic leaders nationwide.

He also prayed for Allah to forgive the scholar’s shortcomings and grant him eternal peace, as posted on his Facebook page.
