PSC React: No Cancellation Of 2022-Constable Recruitment-Exercise, Portal Fully Restored (View-Details)

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has firmly denied rumors circulating on social media alleging the cancellation of its 2022 constable recruitment exercise. PSC spokesman Ikechukwu Ani addressed the misinformation in a statement on Tuesday, emphasizing that such claims were baseless and misleading.

Ani clarified, “The Commission has not and will not cancel the final list of successful candidates from the recruitment exercise, which was conducted in clear adherence to relevant guidelines and provisions of the law.”

Asserting the PSC’s control over the situation, Ani confirmed that the recruitment portal has been restored to its original functionality. He urged successful candidates to disregard what he described as deliberate attempts by certain groups to undermine the Commission’s efforts in executing a transparent and fair recruitment process.

Highlighting the Commission’s commitment to federal character, gender sensitivity, and merit in recruitment, Ani cautioned against actions aimed at compromising their procedures. He assured the public that the portal is fully operational and accessible, allowing candidates to log in and utilize all features without disruptions.

Acknowledging past challenges, Ani reassured stakeholders of enhanced platform security and the PSC’s readiness to address any concerns. The ongoing dispute between the PSC and the Police Force regarding constable recruitment remains contentious, with accusations and calls for accountability from both sides.

The PSC continues to challenge the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) to substantiate allegations of irregularities with evidence, while maintaining confidence in the integrity of its candidate selection process and advocating for a forensic audit of both organizations’ recruitment lists.
