Remi Tinubu Meets Melania Trump, Brigitte Macron At White House First Ladies Summit

Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has joined global leaders’ spouses at a high-level summit hosted at the White House in Washington, D.C., aimed at advancing education and child safety in the digital age.

According to Ireporter Online, the event, titled “Fostering the Future Together Summit,” was convened by the First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump, and drew participation from 45 first ladies worldwide to deliberate on expanding access to educational resources and protecting children in increasingly digital environments.

Among the prominent attendees was France’s First Lady, Brigitte Macron, alongside several other influential global figures. Discussions at the summit centered on deepening international cooperation to equip young people with the skills necessary to succeed in a fast-changing technological landscape, while also addressing the risks posed by digital transformation to children’s safety.

Participants examined various approaches to safeguarding children as technology continues to reshape both education systems and everyday life. A key highlight of the gathering was the unveiling of “Figure 3,” an American-developed humanoid artificial intelligence system, marking the first formal presentation of such advanced technology to international leaders within a diplomatic setting at the White House.

In her remarks, Melania Trump underscored the growing impact of artificial intelligence on the future, noting that AI is rapidly evolving beyond mobile applications toward human-like systems capable of delivering practical functions. She warned that the technology could significantly alter global power structures and urged stakeholders to prepare younger generations to adapt and thrive in this emerging reality.

Officials from nine countries, including the United States, France, Poland, the United Arab Emirates, and Morocco, also presented their national strategies for integrating technology into education. These presentations highlighted ongoing initiatives designed to strengthen digital literacy and better position students for future opportunities.

Melania Trump further called for stronger global partnerships, stressing that collaborative efforts would be essential in turning the summit’s vision into reality through investments, expanded access to digital tools, and the creation of new opportunities for young people.
