“Small Businesses Must Thrive Under Akpata’s Leadership” – Nigerians React As LP Guber Candidate Exchanges Ideas With Members Of NUTGTWN And Forestry Traders Associations

Written By Oshiobugie John

On Saturday, the governorship candidate of the Labour Party, Olumide Osaigbovo Akpata, took time out of his busy schedule to engage extensively with members of the National Union of Textile, Garment and Tailoring Workers of Nigeria (NUTGTWN) and the Forestry Traders Association.

Speaking with members, Akpata assured them that his government would be different, creative, and proactive towards issues concerning SMEs, because any economy that seeks to grow must start from the root.

The Labour Party gubernatorial candidate, sharing moments from the engagements, promised Edolites that his government would help boost SMEs with robust policies, easy access to capital and markets, and the creation of an enabling environment for all entrepreneurs across the state to thrive. He also thanked members of both associations for giving him the opportunity to speak with them.

Recall that this is not the first time the ex-NBA President has met with Edolites operating small and medium-sized businesses in the state, as he previously met with barbers in Benin City over a week ago.

Take a look at some social media reactions below:

Osimhen: “Akpata’s vision for SMEs is exactly what we need! This could be a game-changer for entrepreneurs like me.”
