States With The Highest And Lowest Food Price Inflation Rates In March 2024

States with the Highest Food Inflation Rates:

  1. Abia (5.17%)
  2. Cross River (5.14%)
  3. Bayelsa (4.75%)

States with the Lowest Food Inflation Rates:

  1. Borno (1.59%)
  2. Yobe (2.08%)
  3. Adamawa (2.12%)

Meanwhile, the overall inflation rate for Nigeria has surged to 33.2% in March 2024, marking a 1.5% increase from the 32.7% recorded in February 2024. On a year-on-year basis, the headline inflation rate was 11.16% points higher compared to March 2023. Additionally, the month-on-month inflation rate for March 2024 was 3.02%, slightly lower than the 3.12% recorded in February 2024. This indicates a slower rate of increase in the average price level in March compared to the preceding month.
