Step Down Or Stop Stealing!’ – Tomori’s Bold Message To Corrupt Politicians

Speaking as a guest on “Inside Sources” with Laolu Akande, Tomori lamented the lack of ethical leadership in Nigeria, making it hard for younger generations to find role models among the current leaders. He stressed that good leadership is essential for creating a healthy society, and leaders must work hand-in-hand with followers to bring about positive change.

Reflecting on past leaders, Tomori stated, “In the old days, we had role models to look up to, but who would want to emulate today’s corrupt leaders? I can’t advise my grandchildren to be like them. Good leadership is crucial, and only then will we see good followers.”

He also recounted a story of a politician who initially claimed to want to serve his people, but succumbed to financial pressures from his supporters. “If you’re truly interested in serving, you don’t give in to corrupt demands,” Tomori said, emphasizing that politicians should step down if they can’t withstand external pressures.

Tomori further criticized the current trend in Nigeria where corrupt leaders are pardoned and celebrated, instead of being held accountable, marking it as a significant moral decline. “When thieves return and are made chiefs, it’s a clear indication of our lost values,” he concluded.
