Tinubu Attends Burial Ceremony For Slain Military Personnel at National Cemetery (Video)
President Bola Tinubu has arrived at the National Military Cemetery in Abuja for the solemn burial ceremony of the 17 soldiers who tragically lost their lives in the Okuama community of Delta State……READ ALSO Tinubu Applauds Faye’s Victory In Senegal’s Presidential Election
The President’s arrival at the venue of the burial, precisely at 4:10 pm, coincided with the arrival of the bodies of the fallen soldiers and officers.
Accompanying President Tinubu were high-ranking government officials including the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume; the Minister of Defence, Abubakar Badaru, and the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila.
Additionally, several state governors joined the entourage, including Abba Yusuf (Kano), Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta), Usman Ododo (Kogi), Hope Uzodinma (Imo), and Duoye Diri from Bayelsa State.
Earlier reports indicated that the bodies of the deceased personnel arrived at the cemetery around 2:26 pm on Wednesday, escorted by Military Ambulance Emergency vehicles and FCT Ambulance Emergency services.
Present at the ceremony are top military dignitaries representing various formations nationwide, who have gathered to pay their final respects to the fallen heroes.
The atmosphere is heavy with grief, with distraught relatives, loved ones, and spouses of the deceased personnel in attendance to bid farewell to their beloved ones.
