Amid growing economic hardship and public dissatisfaction, governors elected under the All Progressives Congress (APC) banner have reaffirmed their steadfast support for President Bola Tinubu’s ambitious reform agenda.

Following a closed-door meeting in Abuja on Wednesday, Imo State Governor and Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), Hope Uzodimma, asserted that despite initial backlash, President Tinubu’s economic policies are gaining traction and recognition both domestically and globally.

Uzodimma highlighted that the unity and internal democracy within the APC are critical components of its success. “This administration is a product of our collective efforts as progressive governors. Everyone present here today is APC, regardless of their official role. We’ve gathered to celebrate recent progress and reaffirm our commitment to Nigeria’s future,” he added.

Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, also described the gathering as a strategic family consultation among APC stakeholders.

“This was a private meeting of APC governors, ministers, and National Working Committee members,” Idris said, noting it was a chance to evaluate the administration’s achievements so far. “We are proud of the progress made and confident there’s much more to show.”
