Reports indicate that the assailants, suspected to be kidnappers, stormed the residence of the Gwamnati family in the early hours of Friday morning, unleashing terror upon the unsuspecting household. Sule Gwamnati valiantly confronted the attackers but tragically fell victim to their gunfire, succumbing to his injuries shortly after being rushed to Jos University Teaching Hospital, Lamingo.

The heartbreaking news was confirmed by Luther Dafwang, a relative of the wife, who conveyed the distressing update to members of the Assemblies of God Church in Jos, urging them to join in fervent prayer for the family during their time of anguish.

In a message shared with the congregation, Dafwang revealed the harrowing details of the attack, pleading for assistance in locating Blessing, who was forcibly taken by the assailants. The community was left in shock and grief as they grappled with the sudden loss of Sule Gwamnati and the uncertainty surrounding his wife’s whereabouts.

Kefas Mallai, Chairman of Community Peace Observers in Bokkos, corroborated the tragic events, confirming that Sule Gwamnati was fatally shot by criminals who callously abducted his wife. Mallai emphasized the urgency of the situation, highlighting ongoing investigations by security authorities in Bokkos to apprehend the perpetrators and secure Blessing’s safe return.
