Transfer Bombshell: Forest Sign Munoz, Man City Seal Allan Deal, Newcastle Near Fernandez-Pardo

Premier League clubs are stepping up their transfer activities ahead of Tuesday’s deadline, with Nottingham Forest, Manchester City and Newcastle United among the clubs making significant moves.

According to IREPORTER ONLINE, Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of Colombia international Daniel Munoz from Crystal Palace in a deal worth £22 million.

The 29-year-old defender has signed a three-year contract with Forest and will reunite with former Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner. The duo played key roles in helping Palace secure the FA Cup and Conference League during their time at Selhurst Park.

Munoz spent two and a half years with Crystal Palace, making 109 appearances and scoring 11 goals. He was also part of the squad that won the Community Shield in 2025.

The Colombian international expressed excitement about joining Forest, praising the quality within the squad and revealing his ambition to contribute to the club’s future success.

Forest chief football officer George Syrianos also backed Munoz to make a major impact, citing his experience in the Premier League and European competitions.

Meanwhile, Manchester City have completed the signing of Brazilian winger Allan Elias from Palmeiras in a deal that could reach £34.2 million.

City will pay an initial £32 million for the 22-year-old, with a further £2.2 million available in performance-related bonuses. Allan has signed a five-year contract and is expected to help fill the void left by Savio, who recently joined Tottenham Hotspur for £75 million.

Allan came through Palmeiras’ academy and recorded nine goals and 12 assists in 96 appearances for the Brazilian top-flight side.

The youngster described his move to Manchester City as the proudest moment of his career and said he believes the club offers the ideal environment to achieve his ambitions.

City have continued their heavy spending during the transfer window, with the club committing more than £230 million to new players. However, they have also generated significant revenue through player sales, raising more than £286 million this summer.

Elsewhere, Newcastle United are reportedly close to completing a deal for Lille forward Matias Fernandez-Pardo in a transfer that could be worth up to £55 million.

The 21-year-old has been a long-term target for Newcastle and was left out of Lille’s squad for their recent 2-2 draw with Paris Saint-Germain as negotiations over his future continue.

Fernandez-Pardo is regarded as one of Europe’s promising young attacking players and fits Newcastle’s strategy of investing in emerging talent.

His potential arrival could also lead to Newcastle forward Nick Woltemade being sent out on loan, with Juventus reportedly interested in securing his services.

In another transfer development, Valencia are negotiating with Liverpool over a possible season-long loan move for midfielder Harvey Elliott.

The 23-year-old spent last season on loan at Aston Villa but struggled for regular Premier League starts. Valencia are reportedly seeking an agreement that would see Liverpool cover half of Elliott’s wages during the proposed loan spell.

Elliott featured regularly for Liverpool during pre-season but has been left out of the club’s first two Premier League matchday squads as uncertainty continues over his future.
