the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), concerning the revocation of land belonging to the family of the late Colonel Paul Osakpamwan Ogbebor. The dispute arose after a video emerged online, suggesting that Wike had canceled the property allocated to the Ogbebor family in 1981.
Following this, a WhatsApp broadcast circulated, alleging that VeryDarkMan had made threats against the minister.
In response to these claims, VeryDarkMan took to Instagram to refute the allegations, asserting that he has never engaged in or supported any violent behavior or threats.
“I did not threaten Nyesom Wike’s life. I am not connected to the WhatsApp message circulating,” he declared.
VDM explained that his aim was to advocate for fairness and urged Wike to reconsider the land’s revocation by examining the documentation submitted by Colonel Ogbebor’s family.
“My intention was merely to appeal to the minister to re-evaluate the land documents provided by the family of the late Colonel Paul Osakpamwan Ogbebor, a war veteran and the first cadet of the NDA (Nigerian Defence Academy) with code 001. All the land documents and allocations are authentic,” he emphasized.
He further clarified that a video of his had been edited to include misleading captions suggesting he had issued a threat.
“There was a specific land issue I posted on WhatsApp regarding the land Wike revoked. Someone edited my video and added a new caption to imply that I was the one making threats. Please understand that I do not threaten anyone; that is completely out of my character,” he said.
VeryDarkMan reiterated that his platform is committed to advocating for justice and supporting the oppressed, emphasizing that he has never resorted to threats or intimidation in his activism.
“My goal is to stand up for those who are oppressed and seek justice in accordance with the law. I’ve never threatened anyone’s life, so to claim I’m threatening Wike is absurd. All I did in that video was ask him to reconsider the documents belonging to the rightful land owners,” he concluded.
