Yusuf Buhari Clinches Automatic APC Ticket For House Of Reps

Yusuf Buhari, son of former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, has emerged as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Daura/Sandamu/Mai’adua Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to Ireporter Online, his emergence followed a stakeholders’ meeting held in Katsina on April 28, where he was adopted unopposed as the party’s consensus candidate. The decision was announced by Ahmed Dangiwa, who chaired the committee for the Daura Zone, after extensive consultations among party leaders and key stakeholders in the region.

Reacting to the development, the APC Chairman of Mai’adua Local Government, Mannir Musa, urged party members to embrace the outcome in the interest of unity and collective progress. He also appealed to Governor Dikko Radda to consider accommodating aspirants who were not successful in securing tickets.

The consensus process also produced other candidates, including Nasir Yahaya for the Daura senatorial race and Mustapha Musa for the Mai’adua constituency seat in the Katsina State House of Assembly.

In his remarks, Yusuf Buhari expressed gratitude to party members for the confidence reposed in him, assuring constituents of effective and quality representation if elected in the 2027 polls.
