BREAKING: Public Complaints And Anti-Corruption Commission Boss Sacked (DETAILS)

Abdullahi Ganduje, the governor of Kano State, has finally fired Muhuyi Rimingado, the suspended chairman of the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission.

The state government suspended Mr Rimingado in July 2021, shortly after opening an investigation into contracts allegedly awarded to companies linked to the governor’s family.

According to a letter sent to Mr Rimingado by the secretary to the state government, Usman Alhaji, the state governor relied on the State House of Assembly’s July 2021 resolution to remove him from office.

“Accordingly, you are hereby formally issued with the dismissal letter. Please accept my best wishes and esteemed regards,” the letter read.

When contacted for comment, Mr Rimingado criticized the governor’s decision, claiming that the government had failed to follow the National Industrial Court’s ruling.
