BREAKING: Old Naira Notes Depositors ‘Lockdown’ CBN (VIDEO)
The Central Bank office in Marina Lagos is currently under lockdown due to hundreds of deposits attempting to deposit old naira notes.
The number of people who besieged the bank overwhelmed the central bank’s security details, forcing them to call in backup security.

Recall that Nigeria’s President Buhari declined the Supreme Court order, claiming that the old naira notes were no longer legal tender.
He did, however, approve the extension of the old N200 notes, informing Nigerians that they can exchange the remaining old notes for new ones at central bank offices between February 10 and April 10, 2022.
