‘You Asked Me To Be Your Wife And Now You Are Gone’ – Lady Whose Lover Died In Military Plane Crash Mourns
A young Nigerian lady, Bunmi Oladuntoye, has penned a very emotional note about her fiancé, Olufemi Taiwo Asaniyi, who was among those who lost their lives in the plane crash on Friday, May 21.
Taking to Twitter, Bunmi relived the moment Femi asked for her hands in marriage in 2020 and how she joyfully said yes to his proposal.
She revealed that some of the last things the man taught her were humility, and the power inherent in giving.
In a subsequent tweet, she rhetorically asked who will call a fine girl like he always did now that he is no more.
Bunmi went ahead to say that she has cried her eyes sore despite the fact that people have been trying to comfort her.
One of her tweets read:
“The world deserves to know how great you are. To Nigerians and the world at large, my fiance FLIGHT LIEUTENANT TO ASANIYI was a great man who dedicated his life to serving this country…”
The lady stated that her late lover treated her like they were both married, as he always told her: “Babe don’t worry, everything will be fine, don’t worry.”
See some of her tweets below:
Femi I have not regrets walking this journey with you, you asked me to he your wife last year in August and I gave you a resounding yes. One of the last things to said to me was to keep on being humble and continue to give. You were a giver, oh you were such a giver.
