Shettima Is More Than A Trusted Ally” — Tinubu Hails VP

President Bola Tinubu has celebrated Vice President Kashim Shettima on his 60th birthday, describing him as a patriot whose life has been defined by service, commitment and sacrifice.

According to a statement issued by the President on his X handle and titled “My Brother and Partner at 60: Kashim Shettima, GCON,” Tinubu said the Vice President was not only a trusted ally and valued colleague but also a dedicated Nigerian committed to worthy causes.

The President congratulated Shettima and extended his goodwill to his wife, Nana, their children, family members and political associates as he marked the milestone.

Tinubu also praised Shettima’s distinguished career in banking and his record of public service in Borno State and at the national level.

He commended the Vice President for his contributions as Governor of Borno State and subsequently as Vice President of Nigeria, saying he had demonstrated courage, diligence, compassion and commitment to improving the lives of Nigerians in both positions.

The President particularly acknowledged Shettima’s loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC), his support for the administration and his commitment to the success of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Tinubu also praised the Vice President’s respect for constitutional governance, democratic institutions, dialogue and consultation, saying these qualities had contributed to strengthening good governance.

According to the President, Shettima’s loyalty, wisdom and sense of duty had remained invaluable to the administration.

“Today, I warmly congratulate Vice President Kashim Shettima, my brother and partner in steering the ship of our state, on his 60th birthday,” Tinubu said.

He further thanked Shettima for his steadfast support and partnership as the administration continues to pursue its promises to Nigerians.

“I must thank Vice President Shettima for his steadfast support and partnership as we continue to join hands in delivering the promises of Renewed Hope to Nigerians,” the President said.

Tinubu expressed confidence that their continued collaboration would contribute to meaningful progress towards building the Nigeria of their dreams.

He also prayed for divine guidance, protection, wisdom and good health for the Vice President, while wishing him many more years of purposeful service to the country.
