BREAKING: Something Has Happened To Sunday Igboho

After two years of trial by the Beninese government, Yoruba Nation activist Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has been released from protective custody in the neighbouring Republic of Benin, as reported by Tribune Online.

According to Yoruba Nation leader, Prof. Banji Akintoye, Sunday Igboho was recently released and is currently en route to Germany to reunite with his family.

To recap, Igboho was apprehended on Monday, July 19, 2021, at the Cadjèhoun Airport in Cotonou, Republic of Benin, by the International Criminal Police Organisation, while he was on his way to Germany.

He had fled Nigeria following a violent raid on his residence in Soka, Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, by the Department of State Service (DSS), which accused him of hoarding arms.
