Rivers Crisis: Governor Fubara Asserts Unstoppable Resolve To Complete Term

Addressing the congregation during a New Year’s Eve church service at St Paul’s Archdeaconry Parish in Opobo Town, Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area, Governor Fubara encouraged the people of Rivers not to be disheartened by the ongoing challenges. He emphasized that nothing would hinder him from effectively steering the state’s affairs.
Governor Fubara conveyed, “They desire this red pen, but it remains in my possession. We are victorious because we continue to sign with the red pen. As long as we are signing with the red pen, development will persist in Rivers State.”
He underscored that his administration’s journey remains unhindered, rooted in a foundation firmly grounded in God, who will provide the grace to see through the process of development.
The governor reiterated that a well-designed development agenda and a predetermined level of progress have been set for Rivers State in 2024, emphasizing his unwavering commitment to the state’s welfare.
Governor Fubara expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for his fatherly role in intervening to restore peace in Rivers State, stating, “It takes a responsible man to be a father. He acted like a father. We will continue to offer him all necessary support because if he does not succeed in Rivers State, he will not succeed as a president.”
He assured the people of Rivers that their support is genuine, pledging continued backing for President Tinubu’s programs. Governor Fubara thanked the people for their unwavering support, acknowledging them as believers in the true essence of Rivers State.
