In an interview with Saturday Nivo News, Forte expressed her distress, stating, “My child cannot go missing like that because I am physically challenged. I can’t see, I don’t have money, and now my baby is taken away from me.”

Forte harbors suspicions about her 13-year-old stepdaughter, Joy, who she claims has also been missing. On the day both individuals disappeared, Forte discovered that her ATM card, some money, and Excel’s clothing were also gone. “I am sure Joy is the one who carried my child, not anybody else,” Forte asserted.

The incident was reported at the Mosalasi Police Station, but Forte lamented the lack of significant progress in the investigation. She informed the police about dubious interactions between Joy and a neighbor leading up to the disappearance.

Without family nearby, Forte relies on assistance from her church members. “I don’t know what else to do again. That’s why I’m calling on Nigerians for support, to help me secure my child’s return,” she pleaded. “I will be so happy if my baby comes back to me, please,” she added.
