In an official statement released by his media aide, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu mourned the loss of a stalwart in the fight for democracy, a champion of good governance, and a proponent of economic, social, and political unity among African nations.

Expressing his condolences to the government and people of Namibia, Tinubu highlighted the challenging period Africa faces, emphasizing the need for visionary leaders who believe in the collective destiny of the continent and can strengthen international cooperation.

The statement from President Tinubu read, “I mourn the painful loss of a veteran in the struggle for democracy, a proponent of good governance, and an advocate for economic, social, and political solidarity among African peoples.”

“At a time when Africa is in dire need of more visionary leaders who believe in our common destiny, this tragedy emphasizes the importance of strengthening bonds across borders and promoting cooperation in all fields of human endeavor.”
