In an article for The Telegraph, Petronella Wyatt, a friend of Camilla and British journalist, claimed that Harry preferred not to have his stepmother present during the discussion about his father’s health.

Prince Harry’s visit to London from California last week for a brief meeting with his father came after King Charles III’s surprising disclosure about his cancer.

The strained relationship between Harry and Camilla has been public knowledge, with the Duke alleging in his memoir, released last January, that his stepmother had leaked stories about the Royal Family to enhance her image, labeling her as ‘dangerous’ and a ‘villain.’

Flying into the British capital for a short visit, Prince Harry arrived at Clarence House before swiftly returning to Los Angeles. The meeting with his father lasted only thirty minutes, reportedly to minimize stress for the King, who is undergoing cancer treatment.
