Lawan’s call for prayer coincides with the conclusion of Ramadan, a period dedicated to fasting, prayer, and introspection to strengthen one’s faith and connection with Allah.
With the declaration of Wednesday, April 10, 2024, as Eid-el-Fitr by the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, Lawan emphasized the importance of embodying the values and lessons of Ramadan in everyday life. He highlighted the significance of upholding the spirit of generosity, kindness, and gratitude imbibed during the holy month.
Lawan urged the Muslim community to rally behind the nation’s security operatives through fervent prayers, recognizing their indispensable role in safeguarding the country’s well-being. He called for continued advocacy for peace, prosperity, and unity within Nigeria, seeking divine guidance, protection, and resilience to overcome adversities.
In his message, Lawan demonstrated a profound commitment to fostering national unity and supporting security forces in their efforts to combat insecurity. He concluded by invoking blessings and divine assistance for Nigeria’s journey towards peace, prosperity, and progress.
“May Allah (SWT) continue to guide us, protect us, and bless us with strength and perseverance in the face of challenges. May He grant us wisdom and understanding to work together towards building a peaceful and prosperous Nigeria,” Lawan affirmed.
